Back in the mid 00’s Pharrell Williams launched a new skate team with Terry Kennedy as the leader of the team, and a bunch of up and coming skaters to fill in the gaps. It had promise but ultimately fizzled out, here comes the GREAT NEWS today Pharrell officially announced the rebirth of the ICECREAM skate team, naming up-and-comers Andre Beverley, Emmet Duffy, Jamel Marshall and Stephan Martinez as the first members of the squad. Pharrell described the launch:
“Growing up, you see it everywhere: kids with all the talent in the world, but with very few or no opportunities. Well, these are those kids and we’re giving them that opportunity. They’ve got the skill. They’ve got the personality. They’ve got a real story and ICECREAM is the platform for them to show that. It’s gonna be a beautiful thing to watch them grow”.
