In 2011, when Detroit went bankrupt and put the stops on their monument dedicated to the coolest cop that was ever conceived ‘Robocop’ a group of thinkers Imagination Station Detroit and a small team of initiators called Team Robo. Rallied funds together of more than 60,000 in order to make a dream a ‘reality.’

Already well under way these images show the unfinished product in its physical fabrication of clay, wax, foam and steel to be sent off to be manufactured and cast in bronze. The finished piece will be erected on land donated by the Imagination Station near Michigan Central Station.
