I love visuals that don’t distract from the lyrics, this is about as striped down and minimal as it gets. Pusha goes on a rapping stroll spitting Nosetalgia, turns a corner and Kendrick Lamar joins him along the way, but the video is so much more. It’s COMPTON, it’ gritty, it’s sophisticated at the same time, weaving stories of past wins, and future glories told through a black and white lens. The decisions that were made were made during a time when there was a gray area and every choice wasn’t black or white due to your environment.
Pusha T’s debut album My Name Is My Name releases this coming Tuesday, October 8th.
