It’s a Paul Thomas Anderson film starring Joaquin Phoenix expect some fireworks set in the 70’s. The film based upon a adaptation of the Thomas Pynchon’s book of the same name, tells the tale of a private eye Doc Sportello, who gets wrapped up in a conspiracy that goes all the way to the top,  when his ex-old lady appears in his life.

The film stars ensemble featuring Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Katherine Waterston, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio Del Toro, Martin Short, Jena Malone and Joanna Newson, Inherent Vice hits theaters on December 12.
