Paris – As New Year’s Eve revelers celebrated along the Champs-Elysees Avenue in Paris, as they usually do under the watchful eye of the police, four masked and armed thieves used the noise and confusion to rob Paris’ flagship Apple store. The total haul that the thieves got away with was valued in the neighborhood of $1.3 million in goods, such as iPhones and iPads, the French press reported. Police stated that the theft occurred about 9 p.m. Monday, 3 hours after closing, calling it a “well prepared” operation. Le Parisien, the daily paper reported the thieves entered the store by threatening a security guard at a back entrance.
