This week I had the pleasure of chopping it up with underground legend, Fat Tony. You may have heard him on one of his bumpin’ mixtapes, or maybe on ASAP Rocky’s Get Lit track where he talked his shit. Or maybe you even heard him snap on Big Baby Ghandi lurkin where he went in saying”Fat Tonyesque” lines like:
“Peep me on your Vevo
But don’t touch the remote”
“Speaking on TV more frequently then Ms. Cleo
Got your girl wetter then sandals on a speed boat”

In the interview, Tony’s producer (or *Seducer…watch the interview to understand the hilarious reference) Tom Cruz is introduced, and you immediately recognize the rapport these two have and why the long-term relationship works. They both gave insight into the process of being an independent rapper while building a buzz from the grass roots level. At the beginning of the interview I had MAD respect for Fat Tony, and all he’s accomplished in Houston. Before the end of the interview, the vision that Tony is laying down was clear. He’s paving his own lane, and when it’s all said and done, you’ll be looking STRAIGHT UP at Fat Tony.
P.S. During the interview something happened with our video connection and Tony’s image look like he was lost in the internet, though the audio is crystal clear.
