I had the EXTREME pleasure of having the most enlightening conversation with the intelligent and well-versed rapper A-1. He’s based in San Francisco, and before the interview even started, he broke down for me some of the many issues SF is dealing with on a daily basis, gentrification included.  I understood how A-1, one of the only rappers I’ve heard that makes me question my surroundings, and think. This is definitely one of the best interviews we’ve had on the site. A-1 and I discussed everything from The 70’s blaxploitation classic THE MACK, to Tupac’s impact on hip-hop , and even broke down who A-1 feels is his demographics and core fan base.
