Boston-based New Balance has announced that it will enter the skate footwear market through a license agreement with Black Box Distribution of Carlsbad, CA. Branded as New Balance Numeric or NB#, Black Box will produce and market performance footwear and apparel for skateboarding.

Last night New Balance officially revealed their new, specialized skate line at the Agenda Trade Show. The Numeric range includes 4 colorways in each of the 4 models that blend quintessential New Balance style with modern day skate tech. NB has always had numbered shoes but now the Numeric line adds a name to each of the numbered shoes, with names inspired by areas of Boston e.g. Logan 637, Stratford 479, Brighton 344 & Quincy 254.

First official rider on the Numeric team is PJ Ladd more pros will be added in the coming months.
