KID Cudi is cooking up a new album – Indicud – set to hit the shelves on April 23. This early, the hype builds up around the “Unfuckwittable” rap stud’s upcoming offering. Will it be up to par with the critic’s taste? Or, will his obra maestro be just another inventory of societal lament and angst? For sure, some will give it a thumbs-up while a few musical gurus may just turn a deaf ear. The Kid knows he can’t please everyone, but he’s certain his newest undertaking will create enough noise to shake the hip-hop fandom.
Indicud will feature musical big-wigs RZA, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and long-time collaborator, King Chip, which is not surprising. The album blends the influential figures in the business with one making a scene in the indie arena; Cudi has teamed up with the sisters Haim as well as ex-Fleet Fox Father John Misty for a couple of melodic serving. And… did we mention that Michael Bolton (Watdaf? Hey, hold your horses!) will also be in the same boat “Afterwards (Bring Yo Friend) for that nice whip of G.O.O.D. alternative music. You be the judge.
Meanwhile, the artwork, which showcases flames complemented by a Baroque-inspired frame, is a quick follow-up to a tweet that Kid made in November last year.
