According to reports, Kendrick Lamar’s debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city moved 242,122 units, landing him at the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 sales chart. Any other week that would’ve landed him with the number #1 album in America, but the Compton native came out the same week as Taylor Swift’s fast selling Red debuted at the #1 spot with 1,209,817 units sold. Taylor’s debut is the highest selling single-week debut, since Eminem’s The Eminem Show which clocked in 1.322 million copies in 2002.
