PHOTOGRAPHY SHOT BY Michael History
To say that the debut of KAWS ‘Pass The Blame’ art show was like anything I’d ever experienced before, would be a complete and utter lie. I was stoked to be in town to catch not one but two separate exhibitions, both showcasing the highly talented Brooklyn artist. I went to the first location at the Mary Boone Gallery where we were privy to set our sights on the massive ‘Companion’ wooden sculptures entitled “Along The Way.”

From there we trekked a few blocks into the Upper East Side area arriving at Galerie Perrotin, where the continuation of KAWS exhibit was laced with more than six never before seen paintings. Celebrities of all types (Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, etc.) were sprinkled in the extremely diverse crowd, all coming together to appreciate the art, and what a beautiful night it was. If you find yourself in New York the exhibition runs through December 21st, scroll below to peep a few pieces and recap photos of the night.
