Even if you’ve been paying close attention to the production of Baz Lurhmann’s latest gem (The Great Gatsby) then news of Jay-Z coming on board as composer still might come as a surprise. Even thought the Watch The Throne single No Church In The Wild was heavily featured in the first & second trailer of the film no one though Hova would be behind the actual production of the film. The big announcement was broken by U.K.-based producer/songwriter The Bullitts whom took to twitter last night to make the announcement writing:
Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!
The Great Gatsby opens in 3D on May 10, 2013.
