Have you ever played Farmville, Cityville, Poker and so and so forth games in Facebook? Well, Zynga is the brilliant manufacturer behind those games. For years it has been perfectly clear that these online games has effectively help Facebook for log in users to engage in their network for entertainment and amusement of these game services. It has been making news in the newsroom that the gaming industry giant Zynga are trying to be self reliant in their services and cuts ties with Facebook for that matter. The fact is, Zynga is only relaunching its new website providing an independent sign in account wherein you wont be using Facebook to get into your game. Bold move for Zynga since the two have been in the industry for a very long time. However, the restrictions imposed by Facebook has led Zynga level up its services to allow more gamers benefits. This simply means that you do not need to earn page credits or points as mandated by Facebook to get the game going.
Tim Catlin, one of the manager of Zynga, told Reuters last Wednesday that more players opting for a unique name in the game that is not fixed with Facebook which eventually expose their real names.
Catlin also added“You had to use Facebook account to play previously, but this is going to change going forward.”
With this in mind, Zynga did not totally cut connections with Facebook since both party contributed much for each others success. However, restrictions were lifted allowing Zynga to launch new games and features on their relaunched website.
Zynga was created last 2007 achieving success due to its shared flagship with Facebook to gain new players exclusively in the network. Years have gone by and Zynga had benefited much with Facebook gaining about 90% of ROI while Facebook only gets 15% from fees subjected to Zynga.
Much had been said, Zynga is not severing ties with Facebook but only plans to amend terms and conditions as they independently relaunch their sites to the market. Daring decision for them and could lead to unexpected increase or the other way around as a product of their slight gap created for the continuous growth of the company.
