GODDAMN! More Time In Schools Across Nation?

Schools in five states across the country have decided to take part in a three-year pilot designed to make public schools more competitive on a global note. Forty schools in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Tennessee, have all agreed to extend the school day or add more days to the calendar year, allowing kids access to a more expanded curriculum. Funding for this program will be provided by the Ford Foundation and the National Center on Time and Learning, along with federal, state and district funds to cover the increased school day hours.
