After garnering rave reviews at Sundance Film Festival this year, actor/writer/producer wunderkind Daveed Diggs (Blackish, Zootopia, The Get Down),  stars in the award winning comedy. The film was purchased by Lionsgate who have quickly set and announced a release for  Blindspotting on July 27th and expand nationwide on August 10.  Blindspotting was written by Diggs and Casal, and is directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada (High & Mighty).

Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal wrote and star in the hip-hop-flavored buddy comedy, set in a rapidly gentrifying Oakland, California. The film tells the story of Collin (Diggs), who needs to make it through his last three days of probation for a chance at a new start, but his fast-talking childhood bestie, Miles (Casal), is a magnet for trouble. When Collin’s final countdown is interrupted by a life-changing missed curfew, their friendship is forced out of its comfortable existence and onto a spiraling collision course.
