Colorado Marijuana Clubs Open

Colorado has officially opened up recreational marijuana clubs on Tuesday, after the approval by voters of Amendment 64 last November. The clubs are not open to the public, nor do they sell marijuana. North of downtown, Denver’s Club 64, named after the amendment, opened at 4:20 pm on Monday with some 200 members over the age of 21. The opening came less than 24 hours after organizers announced a $29.99 admission price for the bring-your-own pot club. Amendment 64 prohibits public consumption, and smoke-free laws also seem to ban indoor smoke-outs, but attorney Robert Corry of Club 64 said private pot dens are permissible because marijuana isn’t sold, nor is food or drink.
