According to Britain’s Daily Telegraph, 26 yr. old Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapar has reportedly been killed by two of her co-stars on the set of her latest film “Heroine”.  Ms.Thapar was strangled and decapitated after allegedly being kidnapped by Amit Jaiswal, 36, and his lover Preeti Suri.  Jaiswal and Preeti were found to be in the posession of Ms.Thapar’s cell phone and simcard and they subsequently confessed to the murder, reported The Daily Caller.

The New York Daily News quotes Indian police as saying that Jaiswal and Preeti decided to kidnap Ms.Thespar after hearing her brag about her family’s wealth and status in northern India. They allegedly lured her on a trip with them to the town of Gorakhpur.  According to the report, the two took Ms.Thapar hostage and contacted her mother claiming that if their demands of 1,500,000 rupee (approximately $28,0000) ransom was not met, they would force her to make pornographic films. The International Business Times reports that Ms.Thapar’s mother gave the kidnappers 60,000 rupees (just over $1,000).  The two decided that was not enough money and  the two strangled and then decapitated the actress.
