Lawyers representing Dunham, asked Gawker to take down the proposal, they removed it, but left up the 12 quotes, each with an amendment: Lena Dunham’s personal counsel, Charles Harder has contacted Gawker to relay a demand from his client, to please remove the above quote from our website”. Deadline.com now reports that Dunham is calling for the site to remove those lines as well. Dunham seems to be in this fight alone, because Random House has yet to make a statement.
