Lena Dunham Bickers with GAWKER Over Book Details

Last week, Gawker.com published details of “Girls” creator and star Lena Dunham’s entire $3.7M book proposal for “Not That Kind of Girl”, an advice on life and relationships for young women, along with analysis of 12 key lines of the book. Lawyers representing Dunham, asked Gawker to take down the proposal, they removed it, but left up the 12 quotes, each with an amendment: Lena Dunham’s personal counsel, Charles Harder has contacted Gawker to relay a demand from his client, to please remove the above quote from our website”. Deadline.com now reports that Dunham is calling for the site to remove those lines as well. Dunham seems to be in this fight alone, because Random House has yet to make a statement.
