The latest saga of the NYPD reports that a man was discovered kidnapped and tied up INSIDE an NYPD detectives garage yesterday. The detective is reportedly a 17 year veteran of the Brooklyn gang unit, and the name of alleged victim nor detective has been released. According to the Post, the kidnap victim was allegedly picked up on Thursday off the street, with the kidnappers reportedly phoning a friend of the victim to demand a $75,000 ransom repeatedly. The calls were traced to the detectives home phone, which prompted cops to drive out to the house and discover the kidnap victim. The detectives and his supposed “gang” were called in for questioning last night, but no arrests have been made.
A NYPD detective has been suspended without pay as Internal Affairs tried to figure out if he was involved in the aforementioned kidnapping scheme in Queens. Authorities say a 25-year old man was kidnapped at gunpoint on Friday while walking down 234th Street, and that his kidnappers called his friends for a ransom. Police tracked the man to a home located at 141-37 181st Street in Springfield Gardens where they found him unharmed. The records show that the home belongs to Detective Ondre Johnson, a 17-year vet of the NYPD Brooklyn gang unit, but Johnson, as of this writing, has not been charged with a crime. Hakeem Clark, 30, and Jason Hutson, 27, both of Queens were arraigned on charges of kidnapping, criminal possession of forgery devices, and unlawful possession of personal identification information. They are being held without bail, with two other men possibly facing charges connected to the case. The investigation is ongoing.
