PASSION PIT – Gossomer [ALBUM REVIEW.]

Passion Pit’s second album Gossamer does not fall victim to the sophomore jinx! The Cambridge boys, known for their blaring synths, and electronica sound have shaped an album only like Passion Pit can. Stand out tracks like “Love is Greed” and radio friendly “Take A Walk” has a shinning bright, and injection of  happiness “feel” to them. The band has definitely found their footing, and the types of songs they love to craft, and they are hammering that formula for twelve solid tracks. One complaint is that it does have moments where the synthesizers, keyboards, and drums begin to sound all too familiar, and  repetitious. The Pit close the album out in a epic fashion with the dramatic “Where we belong” it sounds a little bit like Kenna’s baptized in blacklight, another amazing song also. Listen to the first single off of the album Take A Walk below, and if that suits your fancy, head over HERE and buy a copy. The album will be available at midnight.
