A show that’s been flying under the radar, but is truly solid has to be AMC’s drama Hell on Wheels, but on a network like AMC where the co-programming shows includes the award winning Breaking Bad, and Mad Men, it’s almost a little expected. The show which is set in a post-Civil War it co-stars rapper/actor Common, who plays a character named Elam – a freed, bi-racial slave who heads west to find work, while also hoping to find his place in society, as he doesn’t feel that he fits squarely into either the “black world” or the “white world.”
As the series begins promo for their impending second season they release a few first look glimpses into what we’ll expect from this layered post period drama. Season 2 begins airing on Sunday,August 12 at 9 pm ET on AMC. Head over to AMAZON video to catch up on Season one!
