Director Dan Eckman Presents Trippy Concept Trailer for “THE BOY WHO COULDN’T SLEEP AND NEVER HAD TO”

BOY Who Couldn't Sleep And Never Had To- Faux SocietyFilmmakers Dan Eckman, Meggie McFadden and DC Pierson are creating the follow up to their DERRICK COMEDY feature debut, Mystery Team. This go around they’re using DC Pierson’s award winning book, THE BOY WHO COULDN’T SLEEP AND NEVER HAD TO as the source material.  The team have unveiled their proof-of-concept short for the feature film adaptation, in which they are in hopes of attaining financing for. With footage this amazing, this will be a quick money grab once this hits theaters.

The short stars Darren (The Hunger Games’ Jack Quaid) and his best friend with the not-so-super “superpowers” Eric (Grand Budapest Hotel’s Tony Revolori). The duo are going over the first edition of their hand made comic book when a discovery is made– Anything Darren can think of Eric can bring into reality. You can only imagine how that might cause a bit of a problem, with bringing life sized superheroes and villains to life in your living room.

This is a coming of age story that will get made, and we couldn’t be more excited to track the progress of the creators! We will keep you informed of the filmmakers decide to launch a kickstarter project, or indiegogo in the mean time stream the five minute blast of fun below.
