So um yeah as a kid I can’t even lie, my childhood dream was to BECOME Robocop, like other kids wanted to be fireman, cops, doctor…Nah F*ck that ‘Imma be Robocop.’ I wrote stories of what it’d feel like protecting the streets, not having emotions (mind you I’m 8 and think this is a plausible idea.)

The first trailer for José Padilha‘s remake of Robocop is finally here, and I’m giddy as a schoolgirl watching it. This is my childhood being remade as it stars Joel Kinnaman, as our hero who is fused and becomes what is not quite man & not quite machine…It’s like he’s part robot…and part cop…so I guess we’ll call him–FLASH CUT (Insert flashy title card) ‘ROBOCOP!’ You know the classic story it’s on the local news everynight. Slain cops, body parts fused to make NEW cop, problems arise when memories of his previous life (*Stupid memories) begin to make him doubt his corrupt corporate overlords. Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton and Abbie Cornish, also star in the pic which is scheduled for release February 7th.
