The Wale Gifted Lands #1 Born Sinner Outsells YEEZUS

MMG’s Wale has attained his first #1 album with the release of his third effort, The Gifted. The LP met projects landing between 140-160k records pushing exactly 151,871 copies to grab the number one spot on the charts.  Also on the charts the neck and neck race between Kanye West and J. Cole’s Born Sinner continued as Born Sinner moved another 83,652 copies, beating Yeezus’ 65,721. The continued sales can be chalked up to promotion, J. Cole’s album has the smash single Power Trip, while Yeezus had no radio single nor visuals, just the strength of the Kanye brand.
