THE SIT DOWN: JELLY and CREAM Clothing. [EDITORIAL.]

Faux Society sat down with British clothing line Jelly & Cream who are churning out some of the hottest clothes from any street wear brand we’ve seen in a minute. What caught our eye about this brand is the high quality materials that go into the making of their pieces. In the interview below we talked about the past, present, and blindingly bright future of this imported brand.
FS: Can you tell us about the origins of the line?
JC: The brand was born straight out of college by two students, one studying Graphic Design and the other studying Media & Journalism.
FS: What is the mission statement for the line? What inspired it?
JC: Having fun doing whatever it is you want to do! That’s the backbone of the brand … Although very fun and crazy, it also has a very motivational message behind it, it was inspired by the personalities of the co-founders and the vision of the brands future.
FS: What’s the meaning behind the name Jelly and Cream?
JC: It’s crazy because it really doesn’t have any meaning behind it, although you could say it represents the laid back, fun, “whatever” attitude of the brand. We just thought of a random brand name that sounded cool and ran with it, we were way more interested in getting the clothes out.
FS: Where do you see clothing line Jelly and Cream in three years?
JC: We are making some big changes to the direction of the company, which we can’t really speak about just yet. The world will see Jelly & Cream fit into a niche and literally tear it up, the changes we make will allow us to produce more quality products and concentrate on delivering these products to the consumers at an epic standard. Look out for a lot of creative marketing schemes.
FS: Is Jelly and Cream in any retail stores as of now? If not, are their any plans in the near future?
JC: Nope, our customers/supporters really love the brand culture. We want to keep the exclusivity and also deliver Jelly x Cream products at a standard that only improves. We may look at partnering up with a select few retailers, but we can’t seem to decide which city, the products are in demand all over the country … We’re spending some time in California trying to build brand relations so that’ll probably be a smart place to stock up.
FS: What’s an accomplishment the line has done that still surprises you?
JC: Erm, definitely the release day of the “Cream Snapback” we set ourselves a ridiculous target of selling out all 100 snapbacks over the launch weekend (nobody knew us at this point) and we actually sold out all 100 snapbacks, only problem was the post office run on the following Monday, haha.
FS: People are loving the line, how does that feel to make fans out of people so quickly?
JC: It feels great! We don’t need to spend a load of money on marketing because we have loyal customers constantly pushing out our brand, and we love them for that .. We are always thinking of ways to give back that same love!
