Rapper Lil Boosie FOUND Not Guilty.

Rapper Lil Boosie, has been found not guilty of first degree murder stemming from the Oct. 2009 shooting death of a 35-year-old man, WAFB reports. Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch allegedly ordered a hit on the victim (Terry Boyd), and ordered the primary witness, Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to murder (Boyd). Prosecutors tried to argue that lyrics in a Boosie rap proved his connection to the murder and during the trial even called into account Louding’s tattoo of an AK-47, with the script “Yo Boosie Who’s Next?” as proof that the two conspired in the murder. Boosie was tried in Baton Rouge, LA and if convicted, he could have faced life in prison.

The jury deliberated for nearly 2 hours, before deciding that Boosie was not guilty. Even with the not guilty verdict, Boosie won’t be freed from custody just yet, because he is currently serving the remainder of an 8-yr. prison sentence for conspiring to smuggle drugs into prisons-including Louisiana’s Dixon Correctional Center and Angola State Penetentiary (where he is currently serving time.)
