Next To Blow. – Frankie P. [Music Producer]

Faux Society sat down with quickly rising up the ranks Frankie P. We first heard about him through the release of his “Clipse X The Door’s” mash up LP. It was amazing! So we reached out to the audio genius to pick his brain on inspirations and his creative process.

We see great things coming for Frankie P. Not only because his music is unique, original, and well contrived, but because  at the center of it there’s a true sincerity to it. He’s not doing it because “that’s the type of beats everyone is jumping on at the moment!” or “It’ll get mad spins on the radio.” He’s doing it for the art of the beat, and for that! Faux Society commends you Frankie!

Your art it beautiful. Peep the interview below to learn more.

FS: As an artist on a day to day basis, what keeps you consistent and inspired to create your music?

Frankie P: Life keeps me inspired. Art, music, love, sex, drugs, struggle, etc… (all that corny shit but its true! – lol). I feel like we recycle inspiration daily. We see/hear things that move us and we interpret it in our own way. My hunger and love for the craft is what keeps me consistent. I have been making music for over 10 years now. I think part of me is still trying to prove to these A&R’s that never gave me a chance that they fucked up although I work side by side with them now. More than anything, what I strive to do is strike an emotion with my listener. Music should always make you feel a certain type of way no matter what…

FS: It’s been a stressful day in the studio, everything is done, and you’ve got some down time. How do you blow off steam?

Franke P: I love watching movies. I would prob. just light an L and watch a ocean documentary on netflixs… lol

FS: What’s Frankie P.’s  process for crafting music.

Frankie P: Each time is different. First things first, the artist or track has to move me. Biggie said it best… “Only make moves when your hearts in it… live the phrase sky the limit”. If your heart is not in it, its probably not a good idea…
Besides that, I usually create most of my tracks in my home studio before I take them downtown. Not too many people around… real chill environment… I am big on tempos and the way people react to different drum patterns. I have always studied the music I love. That is why I know what tempos work in what situation. My craft is really just staying consistent and hungry.
