Fox has announced today they have purchased a comedy series comedy project from John Legend’s Get Lifted Film Company. The series which is currently untitled, will center on a guy in his early 20s who becomes the guardian to his own siblings, while having to manage his fledgling career as well as a social life.
The pilot will be penned by Tommy Dewey & Greg Bratman, and is said to be loosely based on John Legend’s years growing up. Legend, along with his partners at Get Lifted, Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorious, will executive produce, with Katherine Pope and Peter Chernin. Dewey and Bratman will co-executive produce. No names have been announced on who will star in said series, but we can only hope to get a few cameos from Mr. Legend himself.
