Evil Dead Remake Recut to Make HARD “R” Rating

I’m hearing great news for lovers of the horror film genre, Bruce Campbell himself has reported that Sony’s TriStar Pictures has moved Evil Dead up a week from April 12th to April 5th. The newest Evil Dead is of course a remake (written by creator Sam Raimi himself though.) In the 2013 film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin, and discover a Book of the Dead (of course READ IT!) summon dormant demons that have been living in the woods. The film contains possessions until only one survives. The newest Evil Dead stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore. It was originally rated NC-17 but has been recut to secure a HARD “R” rating for strong bloody violence and gore, and language.
