Cal Ripken’s Mother Abducted, Safe Now!

Between 7am and 8am Tuesday morning in Aberdeen, Maryland,  baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr.’s mother was abducted from her home. Police say a man took Vi Ripken, 74, from her home at gunpoint, forced her into her 1998 Lincoln Towncar, stole her credit cards, and rode her around in the passenger seat. She was found about 6:15am Wednesday in the back seat of her vehicle, with her hands bound, otherwise unharmed, near her home, police said. Police say there was no ransom demand, indicating that her abductors did not know the woman was Cal Ripken’s mother.
