If “Boondocks” creator Aaron MacGruder has his way, we could be ‘hating’ Uncle Ruckus on the big screen. For those who are familiar with Ruckus, you either love him (couldn’t imagine anybody doing that) or hate him, or possibly really, really hate him. With that being said, funds are being raised at kickstarter.com for an R-rated theatrical comedy featuring Uncle Ruckus, to be produced this year. Aaron MacGruder, will write & direct, while Gary Anthony Williams who does the voice of Uncle Ruckus on the animated series, will step out of the booth and don the signature ill-fitting orange button down for the live action adaptation The movie, which is currently being written, won’t involve any of the regular Boondocks characters, and MacGruder will concentrate his efforts on a part of the Ruckus family that we haven’t yet been introduced too.
