Oscar Recap [2013.]

So with the Oscars’ airing last night and Argo being the big winner for Best Picture, our very own Andy Young did his own Oscar picks and he selected an IMPRESSIVE 19 of 24 picks correct. Read his picks HERE, his recap is below.

I got 19/24 of my picks right. I missed supporting actor, animated feature (switched to Wreck-It Ralph, couldn’t resist), Documentary short, Directing and adapted screenplay. Took some chances, but I still won $40 in my Oscar pool!

Some random notes:

• When did Jack Nicholson become a hipster?
• Way to give away the ending to Flight in Denzel’s clip, ya jerks.
• Hey, Seth did a good job! Crowd was a bit stiff but he held his own.
• Loved all the musical tributes.
• Harry Potter and Bella on the same stage? My secret fanfiction is coming to LIFE!!
• Someone start the timer for someone to make “Movies Performed by Sock Puppets” into a YouTube channel.
• “Argo fuck yourself, Academy” – Ben Affleck
