Before Steve Jobs death, he still has given the iPhone 5 his blessing. Business Week reports that the iPhone 4 was the last model that received “detailed input from Jobs.” iPhone 5 was launched around the world two weeks ago and since then, the main focus on the handset was its controversial maps application. Some says that this mishap wouldn’t have happened under Job’s command.
Business Week’s report doesn’t go into detail on what specific input did Jobs gave on the handset. But because of Jobs’ health condition, it is difficult to see him being too involved in the testing of the handset’s software. So basically, iPhone 5 was the very last handset Jobs has influenced. It only means that the company’s upcoming products are unclear, but it’ll be more interesting to see how they turn out without Jobs’ vision, input and ideas.
