At 82 years of age, Doris Thompson is still working in her chosen profession. The trouble is, she’s just not good at what she does. And her recent arrest proves this. The octogenarian burglar has a twenty page rap sheet dating back to 1955, along with 25 aliases. Been in prison nine times since 1983, and is currently being held on $80,000 bail. Don’t you believe it’s about time to retire, Doris? Apparently she doesn’t think so, because this week LAPD will present evidence linking Thompson to eight recent burglaries, many of which took place in different doctors’ offices. Doris’ MO works like this: she enters a doctors’ office during regular office hours, hide somewhere, then come out at night to break into the office’s cash box. She has allegedly stolen some $17,000 with these latest burglaries. She was last convicted of a similar crime two years ago, when she broke into the Children’s Medical Group in Torrance, Ca. Police were able to track Thompson down because of her unique ‘Don King’ type hair-do. She is being held on  $80,000 bail.
