Baseball’s National League spanked the American League at Tuesday’s 2012 All-Star Game, winning 8-0. The San Francisco Giants Melky Cabrera hit a home run securing the MVP award, as 40-year-old Chipper Jones enjoyed his last All-Star appearance. Tony LaRussa, who managed the National League, also enjoyed the last game that he will ever manage. Even with a five-run first inning putting a damper on the All-Star Game mood, the National League has again this year secured home-field advantage in the World Series.
