Two 15-Yr. Old Girls Arrested for Pimping

Two 15 year-old-Canadian girls were charged with human trafficking by using social media to lure other teen girls to a Walkley Road residence in a middle class neighborhood of the city, abducted and then delivered up to adult clients for prostitution purposes. Ottawa Police Staff Sgt. John McGetrick stated at a news conference, “It’s something that has shocked us and the community.” “We’re actively investigating.” Police stated that the alleged three female victims, range from ages 13 to 17 years old.

“These incidents were reported  on May 19, one on May 31, and one on June 3rd”, and “social media was a factor” in planning the initial meetings arranged between the suspects and the victims”, McGetrick said. He  also told ABCNews.com that the suspects and the victims were “vaguely known to each other,” but were not friends. McGetrick would not provide details as to how the victims were forcibly coerced into prostitution. Police believe that no adults were involved in the prostitution scheme, and that they are  actively searching for the “johns” that sexually engaged with the victims. In addition to human trafficking, the girls face other charges including robbery, procuring, forcible confinement, sexual assault, assault, uttering threats and abduction. One is being charged with administering a noxious substance. A third girl, 17 years of age is allegedly involved, and is being sought for her alleged role in the scheme.
