Hudson Family Shooter: Guilty.

William Balfour, on trial for killing entertainer Jennifer Hudson’s mother,brother and 7 yr. old nephew was found guilty on all seven charges. The former husband of Hudson’s sister Julia, testimony revealed that Balfour had a history of threatening the family before the 2008 murders. Hudson’s testimony early in the trial stated that no one in the family wanted her sister to marry him, and she’d known Balfour since the eighth grade and always deeply disliked him.

Jurors deliberated for three days before reaching their verdict against 31-year-old Balfour. Throughout 11 days of testimony, more than 8o witnesses were called. Many of the witnesses testified that he threatened to kill the entire family if Julia Hudson tried to push him out of her life after Balfour was released from jail. After being found guilty Balfour, who faces a mandatory life prison sentence, showed no emotion after the reading of the verdict.
