NFL players have joined a totally unified lawsuit against the league, alleging the negligence of officials by not acknowledging or addressing the impairments of the brain that come along with playing the game of football. The league was also accused of concealing the long-term effects of head trauma for years. The master complaint was filed Thursday in Philadelphia, summarizing the players claims.
The lawsuit, according to the NFL, also never told the players about the risks they faced playing a game that often included head-jarring tackles and concussions. The lawsuit also has a combined 80 pending separate cases that were also filed against the NFL, by more than 2,ooo former players.
