Gabby Douglas, 16 gold medalist, and now published author! Douglas won hearts — and two gold medals — at this summer’s Olympic Games in London, where she became the first African-American woman to win the all-around gymnastics title. Gold medal-winning gymnast Gabby Douglas is penning an “inspirational memoir” about her struggles to reach Olympic stardom. The memoir is titled Grace, Gold & Glory: My Leap of Faith, to be released this Tuesday. It’ll be on the list of a thousands of girls stocking stuffer this year. In the book Gabby discusses the choice of leaving home in Virginia at the age of 12 to train for the Olympics.
It “will also be about how much my family and I have overcome during our journey,” she told People magazine.
Be sure to scoop up a copy of the memoir when it hits store shelves this coming Tuesday!
