The UFC’s Heavyweight Champion, Alistair Overeem has been reinstated by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, following a nine-month suspension for testing positive with elevated levels of testosterone. The Nevada State Athletic Commission reissued Alistair his fight license on Tuesday, and with that decision being hand down, it now clears Overeem to fight Feb 9 against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. Overeem was scheduled to fight Junior Dos Santos March 27, when the NSAC inspectors surprised Overeem by issuing a random drug test. The test results showed that Overeem had double the Nevada limit of testosterone. Since then, Overeem has passed testosterone testing in both November and December.
